Time to get real, raw, and honest for a minute. The Curse of 2020 and COVID-19 struck our home rather hard over the last month. My husband bravely fought the virus, we lost a very dear family friend to the virus on Thanksgiving, and my 10-year-old son was diagnosed with COVID-related depression. As much as I wanted to stay in Michigan and ski this winter, we made the decision to return to our home in the Florida Keys a little early this winter. Florida is open: not just for tourism, travel, and dining, but to outdoor living. After almost a month of lockdown in Michigan, coming to Florida allows us to live, work, and play in the outdoors…while providing some much needed Vitamin SEA and sunshine to boost our healing.
With that said, this blog has to pivot back to its former mission. I haven’t been able to talk travel since March, but now I am going to show you how you can travel safely during this global pandemic. And of course, there will always be wine and dine involved. I hope you will join us for the ride!
