Somedays, I just grow weary of the oaky flavors that permeate California white wines and look to other regions to provide a respite. Although Lodi is sometimes viewed as the Bastard Stepchild of the Sonoma-Napa relationship, the region produced a real winner in this 2016 Viognier from the Peirano Estate Heritage Collection.
